It’s autumn, 1989, the Berlin Wall is falling down, bringing the ‘short 20th century’ to a close… Via Vittoria was experiencing a radical change, too. In that year, Maria Grazia Virzi took over newly renovated commercial premises, to open her clothing shop Scapa Roma. The opening party met the expectations of that eventful year: 500 guests, many of whom important Italian personalities, such as Susanna Agnelli, Ruggero Orlando and Gianni Minà, flocked to the shop to celebrate its inception.
